The Challenge
At NPE, Nissei ASB set out to showcase three fully operational plastic molding machines within their expansive 80′ x 100′ booth. Each machine came with substantial space, power, and safety requirements, creating a complex technical challenge. The exhibit needed to integrate these live demonstrations into a cohesive, brand-forward environment that also highlighted Nissei ASB’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing.
The Idea
The design solution divided the space into two distinct yet complementary zones: a branded, thematic environment and a fully functional machinery area. This clear separation illustrated the company’s balance between performance and sustainability. The branded zone featured interactive displays, educational storytelling, and a serene visual aesthetic, while the machinery area prioritized efficiency, accessibility, and safety.
To meet the technical demands of the live equipment, the team implemented a sophisticated power distribution system and concealed all cabling within integrated floor pathways, maintaining both safety and visual polish.
The Result
Throughout the show, the molding machines operated continuously, producing plastic cups for attendees to use and recycle. Nearby recycling bins and collection efforts reinforced the sustainable message, turning the demo into a tangible expression of environmental responsibility. The exhibit successfully merged advanced technology with purpose-driven design, underscoring Nissei ASB’s position as an industry leader in innovation and sustainability.
