DesignShop, now ColorCraft, was chosen by the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex to design and create a leading-edge atmosphere for “Science on a Sphere”. Our team was charged with creating a new level of experience inside of the 3,200 square foot exhibit, which is housed within the Space Center’s IMAX complex.
DesignShop was instrumental in the overall design and added experiential features such as a floating overhead banner of fiber optic lighting, back-lit display walls and free-standing, themed walls with recessed display cases for artifacts, memorabilia, etc. In addition, DesignShop created bench seating surrounding the key component of the exhibit to accommodate 80 people and immerse them in a one-of-kind scientific experience.
